Light Box

Through the instruction of our professor we did an exercise that allowed us to create a lighting design that was contained within a 12"x12"x12" cube. Our group went through several different itterations of working with different types of light sources, color mediums, and shapes. We finally came up with a design that best suited us and what we were trying to accomplish. Our goal was to find a colered material that was translucent enough to allow light to pass through and shine on the other translucent material and create a completely different color all together. So when the light shines through the yellow material first then onto the blue and red colored material you get the colors green and orange casted as a shadow. When the light shines through the red material first then onto the blue and yellow you get the colors purple and orange casted as a shodow. Finally when the light shines through the blue material first then onto the yellow and red the colors purple and green are casted as shadows. By making the exterior of the box all white we were able to see all of the reflective colors a lot better because white reflects color the best.
